Twisting the TRUTH

In an age of moral confusion,
there are those who would
suggest that the word “not” has been interpolated in several of the
Commandments.
It is easy to make words mean what one wants them to mean: in
fiction, Humpty Dumpty did that in Wonderland and in fact, the Anti-Christ did
that in the Wilderness.
Satan is clever at quoting words out of context to make
them mean what they do not mean. After forty days, Christ mocked that deceit.
“You shall not tempt the Lord your God” (Deuteronomy 6:16; Matthew 4:7).
Jesus is the Living Word because he explains
the true meaning of words. He abhors hypocrisy because it twists words, and
will actually crucify the Word himself: “But now you seek to kill me, a man who
has told you the truth” (John 8:40).
Recently, a befuddled
theologian tried to justify his misrepresentation of doctrine by saying:
“Theology is not Mathematics. 2 + 2 in Theology can make 5. Because it has to
do with God and the real life of people.”
Only in Wonderland does reality
contradict the real life of people, and only in the Wilderness does the Tempter
try to make God contradict himself.
The Church is clear on that:
"Though
faith is above reason,
there can never be any real discrepancy
between faith
and reason.
Since the same God who reveals mysteries
and infuses faith has
bestowed the light of reason
on the human mind,
God cannot deny himself,
nor
can truth ever contradict truth”
(Catechism of the Catholic Church, 159).
Denial of reality
is the vice of superstition, which comes in various forms, abusing the virtue
of religion. A religious enthusiast who says God can twist reality is as
superstitious as the atheist who says there is no God at all, or the positivist
who says that man is God, or the pantheist whose god is the world.

Teach Our Children About God, Don't Let Others Teach Them About Evil!

"They" are teaching our children
evil in our schools --
We MUST teach them the TRUTH
to give them the strength
to resist this evil generation ---
the times are changing fast...
Will YOUR children
be able to enter the Kingdom???
IT'S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
to insure they know the Truth!

from those who are in
charge of children.

Do you not see what a protective wall he has built round
them?
Appalling punishments are
threatened
for those who cause their downfall;
great blessings are promised to
those
who protect and care for them;
and all this is confirmed by the example
both he and his Father give.

Let us too
imitate Him and refuse no task, however humble and arduous it may seem, on
behalf of those who are our brothers.
We
may have to serve someone who is small and unimportant, if we undertake this
work; the job may be very taxing; mountains and precipices may lie in our way;
for the sake of our brothers’ salvation everything must be endured.
God, after all, cares so much for the soul of
man that he did not spare even his Son.
So, I beg you, from the very moment we leave
our homes in the morning, let us have but one aim in view, let this be our
chief concern, to rescue anyone who is in danger.
Nothing
is as precious as a human soul.
For
what does it profit a man if
he gains the whole world but suffers the loss of
his soul?

Yet the love of money has
perverted
and destroyed our values;
it has driven out the fear of God
and holds
our souls in its power,
as a tyrant holds a citadel.
In consequence we neglect the spiritual
welfare of our children and of ourselves in our desire to become richer and
leave our wealth to others, and they again to their descendants. We are not really owners of our money and
other possessions; we merely hand them on.
The folly of it!
Our children
become lower than our slaves. We punish
slaves, but our children do not profit from our forethought, and in effect are
regarded as less valuable than our slaves.
But why talk about slaves?
We take less care of our children than our cattle;
we worry more about
our horses and donkeys
(in our time of course cars, houses, etc)
than about our sons. (and daughters!)
If a man owns a mule he takes good care to find the best driver for it,
not some scoundrel who is dishonest, drunken and inexperienced.
Whereas if our son needs a teacher,
we take
on the first man who comes along,
quite haphazardly and without any
selection.

Yet no profession
is more
important
than that of teaching.
For what could equal an art which aims at directing the soul
and forming the mind and character of a young man? One with these gifts should be more
conscientious than any painter or sculptor.
Yet we completely neglect all this.
The one thing that matters to us is that our son should learn to speak
well. And even this we are keen on
simply for the sake of making money. He
does not study a language primarily to enable him to speak well, but only to
enable him to get rich. In fact, if man
could become wealthy without being able to speak at all, we would not bother
about such lessons.
What a tyranny money exercises! It invades the whole life forcing men to go
where it chooses, like slaves in chains.
But what good is our invective?
We make a verbal attack on this tyranny; it defeats us by the sheer force
of events.
Nonetheless, I shall not stop
lashing it with my tongue; if my words achieve anything, you and I will both be
the gainers; if, however, you remain of the same mind, at least I shall have
done my duty.
Still, may God cure you of this disease, and grant me the
satisfaction of being able to take pride in you. To him be glory and power for ever and ever.

The Sin of the Century is the Loss of Sin
In 1946 Pope Pius XII visited the United States and addressed the United States Catechetical Congress held in Boston,
with these words,
"The sin of the century is the
loss of the sense of sin."
Ten years later a book was published by The Westminster Press entitled: "Situation Ethics: the new Morality" by Joseph Fletcher. His theory "situational ethics" refuses to accept an absolute standard of morality...He is a forefather of abortion, euthansia, eugenics, and cloning... in our culture today. In other words, selfish motives are the trend of the day. (Joseph Fletcher's theory will be explained in separate article.)
Pope Pius XII's prophetic words are so true today in horrendous clarity... there is no conscience anymore--everything goes... AND if one stands up for what is morally right, we are shut down as bigots, moralists who want to 'control people'...moral decline is heralded as 'truth'... God is replaced by selfishness and the "ME".. What I want, what is good for ME...
You can't turn on television or the radio without being bombarded with sins of adultery, immoral behavior, lies, sexual perversity, disrespect...the list goes on. Initiating our youth with their agenda of perverse lifestyles and immorality.
It was like the proverbial snowball gaining strength and momentum the further down the moral highway it goes --- leading to destruction -- hell is the outcome. How many souls have been lost to hell? Only God knows how many have found themselves in hell because of their loose morals and following the trend of 'anything goes.'
Check the numbers of those contracting sexual diseases--even the seniors have gotten into the act (I guess they are the 1960 liberal reformers of anything goes)...
A recent article on Gawker.com exposed that according to a recent New York Times op-ed from Ezekiel J. Emanuel,
studies find that STDs are rising in communities of single senior

Chlamydia infections increased by 31 percent and syphilis infections
increased by 52 percent for for Americans over the age of 65 during the
years of 2007-2011. Those are basically the same statistics for

"The great danger for family life, in the midst of any society whose
idols are pleasure, comfort and independence, lies in the fact that
people close their hearts and become selfish."
Did we know it would happen to the extent that it is today? How many of us just said oh it will blow over... or, there is nothing we can do about it. We had been warned by many in the Church from Pope Pius XII, Pope John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI and even now by Pope Francis.
I myself am amazed and sick of heart and soul of what has been happening.. The latest -- the Miley Cyrus issue that was more than shocking, it was disgusting--and the sad thing is she is convinced that she has the right to show this filth to our youth!!!
“To recommend political and economic panaceas for the world problem of dehumanized forgotten man, is like recommending face powder for jaundice, or an alcohol rub for cancer. It is not our bodies that are ill; the soul of civilization is sick. The world is in a state of moral sin and it needs absolution.” Archbishop Fulton Sheen (The Cross and the Crisis)
It seems to be a runaway train that is heading for a bridge collapse. How can we stop this? Can we?
I don't want my grandchildren and future generations believing that immoral behavior is 'okay'.. I guess we all must fight this through our family teachings, through church and prayer. Can we fight this and win?
